Albert E. Kayser

February 19, 1896 - October 18th, 1918

Albert Eugene Kayser is the youngest son of Mr. Charles F. & Mrs. Sophia Kayser of Liberty Prairie, Illinois (the intersection of IL. Rtes. 159 and Rte. 140). Albert attended the Liberty Prairie school and after graduation worked on the family farm. Albert joined the Army on February 24, 1918 and was sent to Camp Taylor, Kentucky for training. Private Albert E. Kayser was assigned to Company B, 113th Infantry Regiment, 29th Division and arrived in France on July 1, 1918. Pvt. Kayser was killed in action in France, October 18, 1918 and is buried in the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery in Romagne, France. He is survived by his parents and three brothers, John, William and Ernest and two sisters, Mrs. I. W. Arbuthnot and Ms. Bertha E. Kayser. Private Albert E. Kayser was 22 years, 7 months and 29 days of age.
