Louis F. Hydron is the son of Mr. Louis H. Hydron (deceased) and Mrs. Lillian Kirchler of Cherry St., Edwardsville, IL. Sergeant Louis F. Hydron was assigned to the 37th Infantry Division and was killed in action in the Philippine Islands. Sgt. Hydron was awarded The Silver Star for his courage in the face of enemy fire. Funeral arrangements were held at Schneider Funeral Home, services at St. Mary's Catholic Church and Honor Guard by Edwardsville VFW Post 120 in Woodlawn Cemetery in Edwardsville, Illinois. He is survived by his mother, step-father, Joseph Kirchler and grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Hrback. Sergeant Louis F. Hydron was 26 years, one month and 28 days of age.
