Gerald E. Henry is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Paul Henry of 617 Wyma Place in Edwardsville, IL. Gerald grew up in Edwardsville and attended local public schools here, graduating from Edwardsville High School Class of 1967. Henry joined the Marines on January 30, 1968 and rose to the rank of Lance Corporal before he was deployed to Viet Nam in July, 1968. Lance Corporal Gerald E. Henry was killed in action in Da Nang Province, Viet Nam. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Robert A. Handley. Burial is at Mill Creek Cemetery, Mill Creek, MO. He is survived by his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Gary Williams and Mrs. Paulette Walter. Lance Corporal Gerald E. Henry is buried in Mill Creek Cemetery in Mill Creek, MO. He was 20 years, 2 months and 26 days of age.
