Scott F. Bianco

Corporal - United States Marine Corps

July 11, 1969 - February 17th, 1991

Scott Francis Bianco is the son of Mrs. Mary Ann Danahy and step-father, John Danahy. Scott grew up in Edwardsville and showed deep creative interests at an early age; art, music, computers, back-packing, camping, gaming and playing pool with his step-father. Scott attended local public schools, graduated from Edwardsville High School Class of 1987 and enlisted in the Marine Corps with three of his friends in December, 1987. After basic training at Camp Pendleton he attended heavy equipment school in North Carolina, then received orders for Okinawa. Corporal Bianco attended a junior college at night on Okinawa and there he met Diane, a young woman from Oklahoma. Upon re-assignment stateside, he and Diane married and resided in California near Camp Pendleton. Cpl. Bianco was assigned to administration when he volunteered for the First Fleet Service Support Battalion, First Marine Division in Saudi Arabia. He was killed in a non-combat forklift accident during Operation Desert Storm. Corporal Scott F. Bianco was laid to rest in Troy City Cemetery, Troy, Missouri and is survived by his wife, mother, step-father, and four step-siblings; Ryan, Karen, Teresa and Patricia . He was 21 years, 7 months and 6 days of age.
